The Colour of Magic Premiere Update #4
Okay, this just might be the last update before we pack up and leave for London.
Sean Astin and his family are in the air over the Atlantic, Mob have delivered part one and Terry's vintage smoking jacket is packed and ready to roll.
There's some media to do on Monday afternoon, but our real focus is the Curzon cinema in Mayfair at 7pm - we're really looking forward to it! We've heard that there's going to be a great turnout on the red carpet and Sky News are being joined by BBC News 24 and a documentary crew, but more news on that later.
To all of you joining us, we looking forward to seeing you, and if you can't make it on the night we'll post photos and an update here once we have recovered.
Finally, to all of those asking for a scoop on the true identity of the Patrician... well, you haven't got long to wait now!

The Colour of Magic Premiere Update #2
We've just had the following confirmed;
Venue - The Curzon Cinema, Mayfair.
First screening; 18:30 for 19:00
Dress code - smart/costumes
Second Fan screening; 21:00 for 21:30
Dress code - smart/casual/costumes
However, Sky are positively encouraging anyone who would like to come along and wave and cheer before the first screening - costumes are, of couse, most welcome.
And before the deluge breaks our Inbox; unless you have specifically been invited to the first screening, your tickets are for the second screening.
We are still waiting to hear if we have been able to increase our ticket allocation and will post news here, good or bad, as soon as we've been told.

The Lunar Eclipse

We visited Sir Patrick Moore to witness the lunar eclipse from the garden of his Selsey home. Totality wasn't until 03.00am and so there was plenty of time to chat and eat a rather splendid Astronomer's Chilli. And as this was an evening celebrating our return to the moon, Terry presented Sir Patrick with a signed Elephant Rising depicting Leonard of Quirm, Carrot, Rincewind and the Librarian standing on the moon of Discworld.
The moon entered the penumbra at 00:35am, and the umbra at 01:43am. Totality was from 03:00am to 03:51am, with mid-eclipse being at 03:26am, although heavy cloud cover made viewing diffilcult.
|

Sir Patrick Moore and Jon Culshaw wait for the cloud to clear and a stunning photo of the moon taken by Pete Lawrence just before totality. |

The Colour of Magic Premiere Update #1
We have been seriously inundated. We are now getting more emails chasing ticket enquiries than our original ticket allocation. If you are worried that you haven’t heard back from us yet – don’t be – as we are still waiting for further news ourselves and won’t allocate a single seat until we know exactly how many are tickets available.
Just relax, enjoy the sun and keep your fingers crossed.

Colour of Magic / Light Fantastic Premiere Tickets
Curzon Cinema Mayfair - Monday March 3rd 2008

There will be two screenings. Sky seem to have their own plans for the first and we don't know what they are as yet. What we can say is that all of the extras (you know who you are and so do we) will get their ticket allocation, but you will still need to apply for them as tickets will not be mailed out automatically. This applies to all of the extras and if your application isn't received, you won't get your tickets as we will assume that you can't make it on the night.
This is for everybody else;
There are not many spares and we can guarantee that already as a result of this announcement our allocation will be used up, but it's worth a try. Please note that we cannot arrange for any special positions, vegetarian seats, transport, child care or accommodation. It's just tickets.
To apply for one pair of tickets for the second screening, which will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis, please email Rob with your names, address and a mobile phone number.
The dress code is smart and we'll announce the time right here nearer the date.
All tickets are non-transferable.
The deadline for all applications is Friday 22nd February and we will let you know if you've been lucky as soon as possible.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN BE IN LONDON ON THE EVENING OF MARCH 3rd.
See you in a couple of weeks!
